I became interested in military history 20 years ago when I took an adult class on the American Civil War reading McPherson's book, "Battle Cry of Freedom". Then I was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, and a member of Morgan's Men Association Lexington Ky. I have been collecting military history books for the past 23 years

I am currently retired after working 36 years and 8 months as a psychiatric social worker. I had served 3 years in the Army Security Agency including 26 months in Germany and 4 years with the American Red Cross on military bases. During that time I was in South Vietnam from June 67 to June 68. I have a BA in Sociology from U of Ky(61) and a Master of Public Service (counseling) from Western Ky University(71).
