La mia biblioteca
This library is primarily my own but has some of my wife's books as well. She borrows more titles from our local library where as I enjoy the feeling of ownership over the book. The library reflects my interests in history, architecture, art, and literature. It also reflects a long-standing love of fantasy. The large number of unread books demonstrates my inability to stop buying books or asking for books as presents for birthdays and Christmas.

I recently added about 50 books culled from my grandparents' library. Most of these deal with Africa and African art as both subjects were long-standing interests of theirs. I would have loved to have added all of their books to my own but lack the room to store them.

This library does not include (with a few exceptions) the large amount of children's books owned by my kids.

Someday I may attempt to update this collection with a list of books that I have read but do not own. While I have kept track of all of the books I have read for several years, the thought of trying to recollect all the books I have read is a daunting task.

I am a lawyer by trade. I have loved reading from a young age. I enjoy browsing other people's bookshelves to get a sense of what other people are reading (and thus thinking about). I always wonder what conclusions other people draw from looking at the books that I have read.
