I'm afraid my library has been neglected for a couple of years now. Since my mother went into a nursing home, & I had to move into a tiny apt. (my family - all book lovers themselves - had the NERVE to say I should get rid of some of my books! I'd rather be packed in a cluttered sardine can WITH my books - which I am, than be floating around in a slightly less-cluttered sardine can WITHOUT my library! AS IF! I also began being constantly busy trying to organize this place, trying to find work, trying to start a business, & being involved in the community. NO TIME TO READ! I'm so tired when I drop into bed every night around 1:30 or 2 am that there is no time for reading - I'm out like a light. My "To Read" pile keeps growing, I've started 3 or 4 of them - but all I might read are work & business articles on-line, whenever I have little bits of time. Oh, my languishing library - will I ever get back to you, and life will be back to the way it should be? Don't know - but I sure hope so.

A life-long reader of "everything" - especially international literature, and animal/popular science books. I mostly hate sci-fi, chick-lit, and most mystery genres. Have read a lot of the "classics" - but missed many of the really great ones (on my "to do list). I have 1 dog, 2 cats, no job at present, and an ailing, "aged P". I love gardening, decorating, rescuing wildlife, and doing community development/education. Trained as an ESL teacher, worked in libraries a lot (as did my mother, and my sister works in a school library) - we're a book-besotted family!
