The MRCA library is primarily for the use of volunteer docents, but also is used by staff members, and the public. The principal themes covered involve the environment, public lands, parks, recreation, open space, and urban affairs.

MRCA stands for the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority. MRCA is a local government parks and open space agency in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, California. As a full service park agency, MRCA acquires, manages, and provides educational interpretation programs.
