My early literary inspirations (and still my favorite books of all time) are "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis and all things Nancy Drew. I also love anything ever written by Neil Gaiman (I would probably find his grocery lists brilliant) and yes, I am a Stephenie Meyer and J.K. Rowling fan. "The Hunger Games" was a surprising new favorite of mine, as well as Amanada Hocking's "Trylle Trilogy." Patti Larsen is one of my favorite authors of all times--her series "The Hunted" will keep you up at night. And anything written by Dmytry Karpov, including his collection "Dark Edge" and his series "The Lion, The Leprechaun & The Lonely Girl." He is a genius.

I was born with ink in my veins and magic in my heart. As a child, where others saw shapes in clouds, I saw words. But I was also an entrepreneur at heart. So when my business arrangement with the Tooth Fairy ended, I went pro by writing my fantastical stories and selling them to all my neighbors.

Fast forward…um…many years and many college degrees later…and I am now a published author after a long career as a journalist and freelance writer.

Though I have written in many genres and fields, I am most passionate about the world of the paranormal and fantasy. Look for these exciting young adult paranormal novels coming soon from Evolved Publishing.

When I’m not writing, editing and writing some more, I spend my time with my three little girls who think they are princess ninjas with hidden supernatural powers, our two dogs who think they are human, and the one man who is my soul mate and writing partner.

~~Activities~~

Besides the obvious--reading and writing--I love hiking, mountain biking, martial arts and telling scary stories around camp fires. I love riding my bike while sucking on a peppermint, just because it makes the world feel like Christmas. I love Fall and Winter and being cold at night. My family is everything to me, and the time I get to spend with my three little girls, two puppies, and one true love is precious to me.
