My library contains both long-owned classics and new discoveries while focusing on my interests in law, literature, travel, art, politics and society. I'm normally reading a Kindle, but still choose some books in print for reasons related to availability, price or personal preference for paper. I've been reading intensely from the time I was very young, skipping grades based on my ability. I then pursued English as a Major in college and for Master's work. I also did a Master's in Legal Studies at the University of Illinois, graduating with Honors, and finished my Master's in English Literature at the University of Oslo. I've taught various English courses at the college level and, in Illinois, was a Performance Auditor, a Hearing Officer and Administrative Law Judge for the state. In Norway, I taught Intercultural Communications at BI - Norwegian School of Management for several years. I'm an actively licensed American attorney with a special interest in property, art, photography and the environment. I have two published articles on environmental law, in addition to my MA law thesis on Hazardous Waste transportation issues in Illinois. My MA literature thesis focuses on Vikram Seth's sonnet book, The Golden Gate. I also love writing poetry, cooking, and traveling. I am currently doing U.S. tax work for Americans who live and work overseas.
