I have read many books from many different genres. My library reflects my diverse personality.

I currently live in Garland, TX with my husband, Zach and six children: Angelise, Austin, Alacea, Hunter, Andrew, and Ariane. I work full-time for the State of Texas as a caseworker, and I am also a race relations advocate because my family is ethnically diverse. I play the clarinet in the First Baptist Church of Garland Sanctuary Orchestra and love to cook Southern style. I am originally from Cameron, TX which I fondly call the "country".
I earned a BAS degree from Dallas Baptist University in Criminal Justice and Business Administration, but I've always been fascinated with writing. After procrastinating for two years, my husband put his foot down, gave me a new laptop, and hello, Breaking the Line Books series.
The books that I write are intended to bring awareness to an alternate view of living with diversity through a multiracial person's journey through life. I incorporate some of my mother's experiences to give the series a more realistic feel. My readers have told me that they connect to the characters in a personal way which is great.
