This is the 5-volume US version of the semi-autobiographical "All Creatures Great and Small" book series by an English veterinarian. The first three books in this series are omnibus volumes of two titles each from the UK series -- i.e., "If Only They Could Talk" and "It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet" (UK) became "All Creatures Great and Small"(US); "Let Sleeping Vets Lie" and "Vet in Harness"(UK) became "All things Bright and Beautiful"(US); and "Vets Might Fly" and "Vet in a Spin"(UK) became "All Things Wise and Wonderful"(US).
