- aulsmith : The Complete Works are NOT a good read. Some of the plays are. A lot of the poetry is. The plays are often better performed, so listen to an audio or watch a DVD.

- aulsmith : Hugo was paid by the word and this work meanders shamelessly whenever he needed extra money. The digressions are interesting, but I kept losing track of the plot and gave up.
