The illustrations are exuberant, colorful and cartoon-like. While I like the story line the text at the beginning is a little small for me and feels too crowded and out of place within the lively and bold images. It does change as the grandfather is telling stories and that makes it more fun, but again goes back to being small and crowded when he's finished with his stories. It has a definite tall tale vibe while the grandfather is speaking and this is the best part of the book. The multicultural aspect and including Indian words and phrases does make it more special and adds authenticity.… (altro)
