La corsa di Patton : la frenata di Manteuffel … di Steven J. Zaloga

In seguito alla sconfitta in Normandia dell'estate 1944, Hitler progettò di ostacolare l'avanzata alleata isolando la Terza Armata di Patton in Lorena con una massiccia offensiva corazzata.

La liberazione di Parigi: La corsa di Patton per la… di Steven J. Zaloga

Nel 1944, l'Operazione Cobra rompeva lo stallo in Normandia e lanciava gli Alleati in una corsa attraverso la Francia. I comandanti alleati avevano ignorato Parigi, tuttavia la pressione politica francese, insieme con l'insurrezione popolare della capitale, li convinse a intraprendere un'azione diretta per la liberazione della città.
