It seems if there is one truth in modern theatre, it's this: people don't write good absurdism anymore. This collection of plays by Walter Wykes includes three delightfully absurd comedies: The Profession, Fading Joy, and The Father Clock. Each of these plays is strangely haunting and painfully funny in their existential depiction of the sometimes senseless world we inhabit. A must-read for anyone interested in the Theatre of the Absurd.
