Lan Wright (1923–2010)

Medium quality 1960s SF. Wright is a decent story writer but he was never going to get a HUGO. This story is quick moving SF mystery and keeps your interest to the quick end.

Lan Wright was a British writer who wrote 6 SF novels. Most were based on his short stories which he wrote for the British SF pulp magazines.

This one is about an government trouble-shooter from Earth who has the unenviable task of solving conflicts between Earth and the aliens of Luther. He may find solutions but will anyone like them?

This book was good enough that I will read the second Wright book I found in a dusty English book store. Just enough for 3 stars.

Short mood piece centred on an old astronaut left off the mission...
