Excellent for what it is (a 25-page kids' intro to ballet as art). I learned a great many things.

This was a fun and easy read. A good start for a new Hepburn fan, but also entertaining for someone more familiar with the actress's career. Most chapters were fairly short, so I was able to span my reading out while tackling other quick ones in between without any trouble remembering where I left off. The book was published in 1983, so (obviously) had no discussion of her work as a UNICEF ambassador which, unfortunately, was one aspect of her career I was most interested in reading about. (Tip on buying biographies: ALWAYS check the publication dates). Nonetheless, I enjoyed the chapters on Audrey's early life in Holland under Nazi rule and pretty much the entire book, really. Woodward paints Hepburn a bit saintly, but it's nice to see respect shown towards a biographer's subject, and he never glaringly sugar-coats her life.… (altro)

My mum bought this for me for 10¢ from a library book sale when I was about 8 years old, and I've kept it ever since. So many great spooky things contained within, you just don't seem to find anywhere else!
