- Daughter of Newton and Allie B. Jackson. Entered Franklin College at 17; graduated after three years, in 1912. Pianist and folklorist. Married Leo T. Wolford September 7, 1916. Son Thorp Lanier Wolford born January 8, 1918. Died six days later. Her only published work in her short life was the much-respected and twice-reprinted The Play-Party in Indiana.
