A sweet, insecure spinster who occasionally acts TSTL. A dashing veteran hero with secrets and a painful family upbringing that makes him ridiculously insecure for rather absurd reasons. A bit of mystery and action. Overall, played to my favored tropes well enough - I might check out more from the series.

She turned her head as Royce sat down on the step beside her. “I was wondering where you’d gone.” His warm gray eyes held hers with an intensity that took her breath away.
"Only to you, my lady.”

First thing first, written well and obviously had an editor on the job. Not always a given for a Kindle freebie, many thanks.
Except for mentions of chain mail and swords, didn't feel the time period. It frankly got a bit boring, predictable and hero and heroine don't really build a relationship as much as they see each other and are drawn. It was ok.… (altro)

I won an AUTOGRAPHED COPY in a GOODREADS giveaway! This was a delicious medieval-set romantic thriller with just enough paranormal to sweeten without the bitter aftertaste. It was a exciting read. #GoodreadsGiveaway

I’ve read romances involving the regency period in England and loved visualizing being in the shoes of the female protagonists of the day with the clothes and mannerism of the day, and the way the “refined” way the sexes interacted.

During my high school days, I loved History and found the Victorian Era in England to be quite intriguing, especially towards the last twenty years. It was during these years that the engineering and scientific prowess of scientists really reached its zenith. When I read the description for this trilogy and realized the common link for all three stories involved an electromagnet experiment, my curiosity intensified and I decided to download the collection.

I loved now the refined sensibilities of individuals during this period in England came into play in the backgrounds for these stories. Secrets, for some reason have an intriguing and at times a problematic way of injecting themselves into what should have been a wonderful romantic relationship.

Secrets can prove to be quite devastating, especially when there’s romance surrounding them, and it is in each of the stories that secrets played havoc in the lives of the two protagonists. Can these individuals overcome the secrets they’ve been hiding or dealing with so they can achieve the loves they’ve desired to have? Secrets is the driving force behind these stories?

All three of these complete novels are filled with romance, adventure, and mystery which follows three desirable lords injured in an electromagnetic experiment that went terribly wrong and the three women who helped them heal through the power of love. It is Ms. Williams’ use of these elements in her writing that I found to be relatively endearing, and why I’ve given her 5 STARS.
