Like most of these books, A L Williams has a couple of noteworthy ideas and flogs them to death.

The major theme of this genre is, "You can be anything that you want; if you just try." This is palpable nonsense. I, as a fifty-six year old man, will never be a mother, however much I might so desire (N.B. This is an example - not a real wish!) It is actually quite a good thing that we cannot all be and do what we want: who in society would choose to empty dustbins?

I do, however, have some sympathy with the view that most of us have more to give than we do and this book contains a couple of ideas worthy of thought and, as someone wiser than I said, if a book contains one idea, surely it is better to have read it than to have not. I am somewhat puzzled by the copious number of unwritten laws written in this tome.… (altro)

You may think it strange that this book is marked "To read", yet I've also given it a rating of 5 stars. I have not actually read the book, but have it on cassette. Art Williams gives some valuable information as well as some interesting incites into his own life. Great motivational tool!!

This story is a true American story. How a small band of "average, middle-Americans" upset an entire industry, with nothing but a "crusade" - as Art calls it.

This is entrepreneurism at its best! Not only is this a great read, but it is chock-full of "unwritten laws" than can help any would-be-entrepreneur.

Managing and leading people is one of life's most difficult tasks. Mr. Williams understands that people are emotional, not logicaly, and his "Pushing Up People" philosophy is based on this tenet.

This book is not filled with Ivy League, Ph.d., fancy-schmancy paradigms, techniques or such. It is, however, filled with down-to-earth people skills that are effective (but difficult to master!)
