The field of human-computer interaction (HCI) has been talking about a "material turn" in recent years, and this book provides a fair account of what has been done and where the current horizon of thinking about materiality appears to be located within HCI. Personally, I find the conclusions and forward-looking perspectives to be not very generative for further progress in interaction design, but the book should be a useful view of the state of the art within HCI.
