When you think the series might start to slow down the next book proves you wrong with a great turn of events. I am so glad that the author brought new characters into the story because they just helped to keep me at the edge of the seat. One new character is Kate and she is my favorite so far. Kate's personality and how she relates to the rest of the characters only shows that although just arrived she is as important as the rest of them.
James West balances his characters very well, and his chapters keep us turning the pages for more.
The second new character that appears changes all... you'll have to read it, I bet you will never guess who. And what an ending!!

The last book doesn't disappoint. After the introduction of a new character in volume IV, the author opens a world of possibilities for an epic adventure. I loved to travel with Matt and Chase and get to know Desmond's past.
The author builds up to a very satisfactory end to the series.
I fell in love with Zedric since book one. It's not often that my favorite character is the main villain and that I get super excited whenever his name shows on the page. James West did him justice at the end. He was the villain, after all.
The author was very consistent in pacing and keeping us at the edge. I was unable to put this book down. It always made me feel that I was also part of it. I'm sad to say goodbye, but looking forward to the author's next new series or projects.… (altro)

The story is intriguing. The author has a way of giving just the right amount of information at the end of each chapter to stop us from putting the book down.
Matt is the main character and he lost his memory. We're intrigued by his past and by the events that suddenly surround him and that radically change his life. Matt sees himself being in the middle of an ancient war between light and darkness.
I like the magic aspect of his world and the characters, sometimes I get a bit lost with the action descriptions but the story has movement.
My favorite characters are Felicia and Zedric. Felicia is intelligent, optimistic and full of energy and Zedric without adding spoilers, makes me smile. (I keep waiting to read his dialogue in the next pages.)
The book needs more attention though, some typos and formatting problems, but in the essence, there's a story here and I wish the author will come back to it la few years later.… (altro)
