I was gifted a copy of Voodoo Moon by the author in exchange for an honest review. That in no way changes my opinion of this book.

I am an avid reader of Paranormal books, and Voodoo Moon did not disappoint. This book does not lack in a single area, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read and review it. Within the covers of this book, you will find magic, vampires, romance, mages, lust, mystery, suspense, secrets, beasts, and zombies. Voodoo Moon is post-apocalyptical, and told in two POV’s, however, that does not take away from the plot or flow of the story; in fact, I believe it adds to it.

The book drags a little in the beginning, with the background information, and filling the reader in on the world as it is at the time of the events. Once you get past that, it flows easily, and is hard to put down.
Fiona, the main female character, belongs to a group that looks for, and stops, paranormal criminals. She is placed on a case about some being (they have a hard time figuring out exactly which type of being is capable of such horrible crimes), that is kidnapping mages. The main male character, Ian, becomes her partner, as well as several others. Ian is the head of the Necromancers Guild, a group she is not fond of.

The sexual tension between Fiona and Ian become intense throughout the story, but is it safe to give into those urges, or keep things strictly professional? Ian is not looking for a hook-up, however, Fiona is not looking for a commitment. She has been hurt too many times in the past, how can she let herself heal, get over the pain, and feel love once again?

Little does anyone know, the creepy being that is behind the kidnappings is very diabolical, and sucking the energy for its own selfish needs. Somehow, it thinks that Fiona is the key to it becoming God-like, and will stop at nothing to get ahold of her.

No one is safe unless Fiona, Ian, and the rest of the team can find this creature and stop it, while the body count adds up.

Voodoo Moon will not be the last book by June Stevens that I will read! She has me hooked on this series and I cannot wait to find out what is in store for Fiona and the others in the next book.

This is a collection of four paranormal erotic tales from Alchemy House Press. “Halloween Horror” by Missy Allen sees Kendra running away from a fraternity Halloween party after she caught her boyfriend cheating. Running aimlessly through the nearby woods she encounters a strange humanoid alien, who possess a mass of pleasure-giving tentacles. Kendra submits to its ministrations and is left wondering whether her close encounter was a dream or not. “Love Spells Disaster” by Alice J. Woods has a naive Nikki dabbling with dangerous magic spells. When she cast a love spell, things go wrong and it lands on the wrong person and Nikki soon finds herself the obsessive focus of smitten vampire hunk DaVontae. “Taken in the Shower by The Phantom” by Cordelia Montgomery tells the story of Natasha and Jason, who are setting up home in a beautiful old mansion. After a hard day of DIY Jason falls asleep on the couch and Natasha heads off to take a shower. When someone sneaks into the shower beside her she assumes it’s Jason, but she soon realises she’s having a very strange, but very sexy ghostly encounter. Finally in “All Five of You?” by June Stevens we follow Kandace home late at night. When she’s confronted by five men who demand a “toll” from her, for being on “their street” she feels she has no option but to comply with their wishes. Unfortunately for the five Kandace isn’t exactly what she seems. This is a fine collection of short stories – silly, amusing and sexy all at the same time. A couple of the tales work better than others, but as a whole collection it is a great read.… (altro)
