Excellent! Really. A collection of short stories, none related and a vast array of them too. The single thread through them is that each has a quilt somewhere in the story. This is terrific writing, perceptive, intelligent and varied.

Sometimes I do this: I'd like to whittle down some books from my shelves, so I'll select a book that might be able to be shared on paperbackswap.com. (not all paperbacks; any book is fair game) Then I come across a book like this which absolutely must remain in my library because there are readers in my family to share with. And I may want to read it again when it's not so fresh to me.

I'd recommend this book highly to any reader who enjoys short stories. There's nothing "quilty" and quaint about the writing and stories.… (altro)
