I had been watching CNN during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and happened on a segment with Clarissa Ward doing an interview with the Taliban. I wondered, "Wow, who would want to be in Afghanistan at this moment? And how is it possible for her to be interviewing these guys?" Right after, Anderson Cooper mentioned that she had published this book about her war zone reporting, so I ordered it online. It was a quick read and an interesting window into this dangerous field of work.
