Seemed like a really interesting premise (serial killers attempt to save FBI agent from deadly cult), but just drops you into the plot with zero backstory for characters. Things were happening in the moment, but I didn’t much care about any of it because of the lack of context. Lots of blood and guts, which is fun, but a lot of the action was confusing as well. Read it in one sitting, but really wanted it to be better.
That was fun and quick. Campy (duh) and gross, which is a plus for me. Kinda like Pink Flamingos but with an action movie plot. I thought the art was well done, but not a fit for the story, if that makes sense. I wanted something messier, edgier. Weirder.
I am a fan of the Witchblade story and series. So far I have read IDWs Witchblade and Artifacts. I prefer Witchblade though. This pairing of Witchblade and Red Sonja seemed a natural one. At first it was a little too back and forth, but I came to understand what was happening quickly. I loved the drawing, lines, colors. Brilliantly done.

defend the honor of his woman, who just so happens to be a blow-up doll. Our protagonist Edwyn is a troubled man, naive and kind-hearted but brutally violent towards those who hurt his woman. The color scheme mixed with the brutality was an excellent touch. The plot was paced nicely given the brevity of the story and it manages to have a satisfactory ending.
