Personal Reaction: This is a very cute short stories that has great illustrations to go along with it. the pictures drew me into the book and definitely followed it well. This book would be for a beginning to read student, and has great vocabulary and diverse words to introduce to new readers. I love that the author put all the words at the end of the book, listing what kind of words need to be taught before reading this book.
Classroom Extension Ideas:

2) After reading the book, ask students to think about who they like to pretend to be at home, and who they might want to be for a day. Then hand out paper and have students draw themselves as whoever they enjoy to pretend to be. Also ask students to write what they would say if they were that person. Hang them up on the wall. The teacher could even make a guessing game as to who that student is pretending to be.… (altro)
