Just finished this little 'instant classic'. Seeing that I'm a huge WWII buff, the flashback sequence was very riveting and non-fictional feeling. The rest of the story...just plain f'd up. I'm sorry, but if you say you could have called the ending, you are a f'ng liar. lol. Great quick read with a really good story line. Nice job Daniel Volpe!

So this is the 2nd book I've read by Daniel Volpe (1st was Left to Die). If I have a single critique for his books is that they are too short. I love his writing style and his stories are very well told, however, I need more. Talia is like this. As much as I loved reading it, I wanted more to the story...that's how good it was.

Again...too short. Daniel Volpe's writing deserves more, especially when the story is so well told. The ending will be something you did not see coming, so hold on to your seats!

A down and out singer/guitarist in a metal band needs cash for a debt and drug habit, gets a mysterious tattoo he is paid to get. Unbeknownst to him, the tattoo burns when it requires pain, whether it is Billy's, but more importantly, someone elses. The tattoo changes Billy and he begins using the tattoo's power to kill. Interesting storyline and fast paced, this book shows the depravity of an addict.
