Breve biografia
Amy has been writing and finding other creative ways to make no money since high school.
She specializes in fun, comedic reads about accident prone, easily distracted women with questionable taste in men. So, autobiographies, mostly.
Amy is the former East Coast Editor of SURFER Magazine but the urge to drive up and down the coast interviewing surfers has long since left her. Currently, she is a nerd and Labradoodle mommy who works at home with her goofy husband.
She loves interacting with fans when the dog isn't laying on top of her, so stop by her blog or Twitter and say hi!

At 26, Charlotte Morgan is the youngest resident in one of the 55+ community of Pineapple Port in Charity, Florida. To clarify, she's the youngest resident and the longest in residence as she's lived in the same home since she was 11. There's never a dull moment in Charlotte's life, especially now that she's decided to become a licensed private investigator, and it's almost time for the Charity Halloween Bonanza. Outdoor decorations at neighbors' homes were switched. One of the neighbors had a giant inflatable witch stolen from the roof of her house. Another neighbor received a threatening note. There's almost too much to investigate, and that's just the start of the new cases.

I doubt there's another community anywhere, age-restricted or not, that has as much fun on a daily basis. Many neighbors have dogs, so there are snuggles, walks, barks, and woofs of fun, too. It doesn’t matter if the residents are at water aerobics, walking their dogs, riding on their golf carts, working on costumes for a holiday parade, or having coffee or a meal together, you’ll quickly learn they look out for one another. It's also highly likely you'll laugh with them during the chapters of their lives.

OH. MY. WORD!! I've always wanted to read this author, but never won a gift card to purchased one of her books . Now, I am hooked and I HAVE TO READ MORE! I cried when Mason's mom left suddenly with her abusive husband to never return, and I laughed at the two kids calling themselves peanut butter and jelly!! Shee and Mason found each other again as teenagers, but an argument had Mason slamming out of the door of her flee bit hotel room. Twenty-five years later, they meet up again after she had stayed hidden for fifteen years to keep her dad safe because someone wanted her dead. I loved what I named Shee as She-Ra as she was one scary lady that you didn't want to be on her bad side. I loved that Mason regretted walking out on the only woman that he ever loved and spent twenty-five years to look for her, but now her fear of the secrets she kept from him would only tear them apart.… (altro)

Charlotte Morgan has been living in the 55+ community of Pineapple Port in Charity, Florida, since she was 11 years old. That's a story in itself but best told by Charlotte, as I don't reveal spoilers. I will share that Katie, the next-door neighbor's dog, was helping Charlotte with vegetable garden preparations, but Katie's discovery brought all progress to a standstill.

Cozy mystery fun in every chapter, on every page! Charlotte is a delightful character, with her pauses in the middle of a conversation making her seem a little scatterbrained at times, but the actual reason is just one of the reasons a reader smiles. A delightful cozy with all the treasures of cozy reading with well-developed characters and mischief galore in-between community activities, travel by golf carts, and sleuthing to solve the mystery of Katie's discovery.

As the author's books are listed at the end of the cozy, I look forward to continuing to read more of the series and investigating her romantic mystery thrillers, romantic suspense/urban fantasy, and romantic comedies.

I've enjoyed using many of the features of AuthorsXP.com but didn't realize that Amy Vansant is the founder. A website with special features for authors and readers, I highly recommend your investigation. But do read "Pineapple Lies" first! You don't want to miss the friendship, the latest gossip, the tail-wagging companionship of furry paws, the community activities, or the romance.

Who knew a retirement community could be so much fun?!

Loved the concept of this world building, a girl being raised by a retirement community, and staying there into her adult years. She def. fit right in with the retirees and their gossip mill.

All of the cast was unique and relatable. From the busy body, to those living in the past of their failed dreams. A great array of retirees, creeps, and friends.

Charlette's personal journey through this book with her life purpose struggles was relatable and I hope it will continue into the next book. Loved all her quirks, and her side hustle. Cute concept throughout the story. The romance felt rushed, would have preferred a slow build over books. Especially for where they were putting Charlette experience wise.

The mystery was a nice convoluted one. It did take the cast a bit longer than I expected to untangle the mess, but it leaned into the armatures aspects of their sleuthing. With how this mystery panned out I am excited to see what the next one is about.

You'll love this book if you love cozy mysteries that involve a retired cast and punny banter.

Note: This book is written in 3rd person with multi POVs. While I do think it added more to the mystery, it was a change from the normal 1st person, single POV cozies. There was also mild profanity & drug use.
