Pippi Longstocking in the park di Astrid Lindgren
I love, love, love Pippi Longstocking, but this short story did not top my list of favorites. In classic style, Pippi goes off with her horse, her monkey, Mr. Nilsson, her friends Tommy and Annika as well as her home Villa Villekulla to check out the big, bad city. While there, she stops some bad guys and all ends right with the world. Cute, but don't start here if first introducing a child to the red-headed wonder - there are much better options.
