Andrzej Zulawski (1940–2016)

Set during the occupation of Poland during World War II. Some German soldiers, slaughter a woman, her son and daughter-in-law. The husband and his father escape by being in the forest. The young man decides to join the resistance but at the first meeting Gestapo kills his go-between and chase him. During his escape he gets into an apartment of a pregnant woman and helps her with the childbirth. He works in the typhus center where he is guinea pig for lice after being immunized to make more vaccine. Durante l'occupazione nazista della Polonia, alcuni soldati tedeschi uccidono una donna, suo figlio e una suocera. Il marito e suo padre fuggono nella foresta. Il giovane decide di unirsi alla resistenza, ma al primo incontro con la Gestapo il ragazzo viene ucciso. Durante la sua fuga, il padre entra in un appartamento di una donna incinta e la aiuta a partorire. Finisce col lavorare in un sanatorio di ricoverati per il tifo, dove può lavorare tranquillamente in quanto ha effettuato il vaccino. Quando si recherà all'ospedale per porre fine alla misera vita di un uomo torturato dai tedeschi e reso oramai irriconoscibile, finalmente si riconcilierà con se stesso.… (altro)
