This is a fantastic book that anyone who is a member of St John's should read. It covers the Beehive, Tommy White and Garden Quad in glorious detail, and has helped me appreciate and understand them (and the history of the college) much better. My only criticism would be that I am left wanting more, but I suspect only looking myself at Tyack's sources would satisfy me there.
Very useful guide to the Country Houses of England, which even fits in your pocket, and is better for travelling than Simon Jenkins England's Thousand Best Houses.
