Somebody Saved Me: Words + Music | Vol. 27 di Pete Townshend

The names Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey rang a bell, but, being born in 1973 and living under a rock for several years, I totally missed The Who's heyday so, with dirt in my ears, never become a fan. However, I definitely recognized their songs. It's always a pleasure to hear a story told by the one who lived it, with all the laughs, sighs, intonations, and everything else that comes with genuine reflection of life's ups and downs. It's fascinating to hear such natural talent so effortlessly spilling forth from someone who is doing in this world exactly what God made him to do!

If you're a Who fan, doesn't matter what I say here, you're listening to this. If like me, you've barely heard of Mr.Townsend, give this a listen - I think you'll like it - "you better, you better, you b..!"… (altro)

The Age of Anxiety: A Novel di Pete Townshend

Oh Pete, I wish I could get back the time I wasted reading this tripe. Banal and pretentious, and not an enjoyable read. The characters were all shallow and underdeveloped, and the writing was pedestrian at best. Stick to songwriting.
