This is a wonderful collection of individual books into one 'omnibus' version. I had the Snake one as a kid, and the original I had sustained some damage so I'm glad to find this book in particular being a reprint of the same one I had, plus a few extra sections in it that I hadn't seen before ( Alligators, Lizards & Turtles). Vivid photography, cool facts, and easy to understand- especially for children. I loved this book when I was younger and still have a soft spot for it all these years. This is a great book. It's an educational book that would be a great resource for kids with beautiful art, illustrations, and information about extinct animals. My kids love it and I'll probably be buying a couple more copies for each of my kids to have a hard copy. It's worth getting this book just for the art alone of each of these extinct animals, but then there's the added information and such also. This is a state-of-the-art natural history book for kids. I wish I could have had this book when I was a kid and I'm considering getting myself a copy of it as well.
