Fifteen Thousand Miles by Stage A Woman's Unique… di Carrie Adell Strahorn
This is a fairly rare first edition (1911) of this first-person history of the exploration of the west. Signed on the flyleaf by the author. Amazing history.
After reading the book I received for the Early Reviewers program, "Everything She Didn't Say," I wanted to read this book, or at least look at the pictures. It's too heavy and long to really read. I looked at the pictures and read a few parts, but I think it's too soon. If I am ever of need of a lady's perspective of settling the west, I'll get this book from the library again.
I purchased this primarily for the Russell illustrations. All I can say about the text is don't waste your time unless you like to be bored. I skimmed the last 100 pages.
