Peter Stone (2) (1930–2003)

This is the novelization of a pretty sucessful romantic comedy film. It is entertaining and is witty in places. If you can find nothing better, it will pass an evening.

During World War II, a man persuaded to live on an isolated island and spot aircraft finds himself responsible for a teacher and several all female students.

Frequently watched this as a family on Independence Day.

The screenplay for a movie by the same name starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. The story is about stolen Nazi $ and the attempts of unscrupulous people to recover it. It certainly did have a lot of red-herrings that had to be eliminated, much in the Agatha Christie fashion.
