Whew. How often can one guy say “she’s not like other girls” in one novelette?

The Dirty Bits line is all about a quickly dirty HEA and I guess we got that, but the sex scenes were very short, frequent and not great? IDK, the whole thing fell flat for me.

Also remind me to never read about a sorority again.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) This is another short installment in the Sorority Secrets series.. We meet Caroline who is one of the sorority sisters who is auctioning off her virginity, even thought she is not one. She is afraid that they will kick her off of sorority if she admits that she lied to get in, knowing that her family would be upset and she also doesn't want them not to trust her. She decides that she will get a college band to play a charity concert and make enough money that they wont have to go thru auction. When she reaches out to band the lead singer is a jerk and she decides to go personally and it turns out that the lead singer is the hottie that she has been crushing on. When Matt sees that it is Caroline that is asking things change since he has wanted her from the very beginning.… (altro)

Peep by Heather Stone
Book #2: Brighten Sisters Series
Source: Author
My Rating: 4/5 stars
My Review:

Every girl needs a hobby and Tiffany Brighten’s is parading around nude or nearly nude in front of her window for the benefit of her neighbor. Every boy needs a hobby and Tommy’s is sitting in the dark watching his hotter than hell neighbor put on a show for him. Though they’ve never actually met, Tommy is fairly certain he knows every single inch of her delectable body and would love the opportunity to prove himself right.

Turns out, Tommy gets his opportunity to meet his show girl in the most unexpected of places, the hospital. Now, the hospital is very clear on their policy regarding fraternization between doctors and nurses/students but some people are just too hard to resist. Tommy instantly recognizes Tiffany and though Tiffany doesn’t recognize him, she recognizes her body’s reaction to him. In about a hot minute, Tommy and Tiffany are knockin’ boots in the supply closet and hoping like hell they don’t get caught by anyone who can fire them.

Tiffany and Tommy’s relationship is new and in any new relationship, there’s some disclosing of information that has to happen. For Tommy, he has to fess up to watching Tiffany “perform” for him and Tiffany has to fess up to the fact she actually does perform, live and on stage when she isn’t at the hospital. A boy needs entertainment and girl has to make ends meet, right? Well……

The Bottom Line: Though I didn’t enjoy Peep quite as much as I enjoyed Plow, I did like this read. If you are prone to believing in coincidence and are a fan of insta-love and sweaty, hot sex then Peep is just the right kind of read for you. Tiffany and Tommy are both likeable characters, the story is swift and succinct, and there isn’t an attempt on the part of the author to make this read something more than what it is. In all, Peep is quick, down and dirty read that will provide most readers with good half hour of entertainment.

Plow by Heather Stone
Book #1: Brighten Sisters Duet
Source: Author
My Rating: 4½/5 stars
My Review:

Courtney Brighten didn’t think her life could get any worse after walking in on her boyfriend boinking two different women and then she got stuck in a snowstorm and ran out of gas. To make matters worse, the guy who stops to help her initially rubs her in all the wrong ways and then, in a burst of lust, he rubs her in all the right ways.  As if that introduction wasn’t enough to get you fired up about this read, here are the other things I liked a whole lot:

1. Courtney! She gets handed a couple of really raw deals in this short read but she is one tough chick and refuses to let the awful ruin her life. Courtney is whip smart with a silver tongue and mind and body that know exactly what she wants and needs.
2. DECKER!!! Yeah, he has a first name but someone as hot and sexy as Decker can pull off the whole one name thing! From the very beginning, you get that Decker is a good guy and he is totally into Courtney despite the words that coming out of his mouth.
3. Troy the tool. Yeah, he sucks so hard he hangs on but Troy adds a layer of interest to the overall read. He is a complete and utter douchebag but his involvement deepens the read and makes it about more than hot sex and insta-love.
4. The pacing and plot. Yeah, this is a short and sweet read that moves at the speed of light. With that being said, the story still unfolds in a logical and believable way. There is a full story with full character development happening here and that is a very hard thing to do in so short a read.

The Bottom Line: This is my second Heather Stone novella and while I enjoyed Plunge, I slutty loved Plow! From the opening scene to the closing scene, I devoured this read and then went back and re-read some of the finer, funnier, and sexier moments. If you are in the market from some crazy, wild, panty-wetting naughty bits, two lead characters who are as fierce with their mouths and minds as they are with their bodies, then Plow just might be the quick read you are looking for.
