Forbidden love, family secrets, and an unputdownable story! To Forge Her Fate grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let go. I secretly love forbidden romances and this unique story had me on pins and needles wondering how it would ever work out. I loved the determined, strong Eliza and the handsome blacksmith Jacob. Their love across classes was so good and now I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Eliza Rose is desperately trying to repair her family’s reputation after her sister’s ruination. On her way to seek an invitation for a garden party, she encounters a handsome blacksmith who rescues her and her maid after an accident. From that point on, Eliza is intrigued by the kind, honorable man. But, Jacob has been down this road before when he set his sights above his station and he doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice. Beyond Jacob’s misgivings, Eliza’s mother seems to have an instant dislike of Jacob Ridley beyond just his profession and Eliza’s resolved to find out the secret.

Kasey Stockton does such an amazing job creating not only a fantastic couple to cheer for, but a host of side characters that you can’t help wondering about as well. This slow burn romance has all those moments where you’re worried Eliza may get caught in her need to see Jacob and a mystery that completely drew me in. I loved Eliza’s determination to get what she wants and Jacob’s desire to protect her. I honestly wondered how it would ever work between them. The twists at the end were so good and have me clamoring for the next book. I can’t wait to read Ryland’s story.

Highly recommend this clean, Regency romance! It’s a unique, romantic twist that’s a must read. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the author. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided. 4.5 stars raised to 5!

“The feelings that had once been so strong, that had nearly made it impossible for me to leave him, were extremely, terrifyingly alive, pulsing within me.”

Do you enjoy second chance romance? If you do, you’ll love Falling in Line. If you don’t, this book may convince you to love it. I loved these small town high school sweethearts trying to gingerly find their way back to each other. I loved the character growth, forgiveness, humor, and swoony romance that had me grinning from ear to ear. It’s a closed door romance that I’ll definitely recommend to my daughter.

When June left five years ago to pursue a degree in California, she left a broken hearted fiancé, a lonely father, and a town sad to see her go. Now she’s returning to Arcadia, Texas to help her father recover from surgery, but she’s also going home to make amends with Tucker and try to heal the wounds she left behind. Getting over Tucker though isn’t as easy as she thinks. There are still a lot of feelings between them. Will she be able to get him to forgive her?

Tucker was on the brink of marrying June only to have his life turned upside down. He’s not quite ready to forgive her, but the more he’s around her the harder it is for him to get over her. He tries, but June makes it nearly impossible to forget her. Will he give her another chance?

I loved June, Tucker and the entire small town of Arcadia Creek. I hadn’t read the first book in the series, but that didn’t stop me from thoroughly enjoying this. There was so much romantic tension throughout and I loved those moments when a simple touch or look brings back all the old feelings. There was a lot of humor too. I loved all the activities associated with homecoming and how the whole town was involved.

I was struck by how realistic this felt and how much I grew to love the characters. The road to forgiveness isn’t easy and the author does a fantastic job showing how June makes amends and grows from the experience. I loved how Tucker is willing to really fight for June this time around. Now I can’t wait for Dusty’s story!

Highly recommend to romcom fans and those who love second chance romances. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the author. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.

I started this - don't recall, but maybe got half way through the audiobook before it expired on Hoopla. Must get back to it one day.

I found the idea that Felicity had to marry the man she was caught alone with at a ball ridiculous - they were dancing in the library when they were "caught". Bradwell has his own reasons for going ahead with the marriage - Felicity is not the usual air head young woman whom he's forced to consider as a future wife during the season. Somehow, he knows this within minutes of meeting her.

I think Bradwell could be quite an interesting character, but this is mostly about Felicity who is pretty boring.

I wish some of the people who have contributed to the 4.5 star rating for this book had written a note as to why they liked it so much! That would encourage me to pick the book up again.

This book is absolutely adorable! It's friends to lovers done right and I could not put down.
I just loved so many things about this book. First, I have to say that friends to lovers is my favorite trope. When it's done right, the depth to the relationship cannot be matched and I LOVE it! Unfortunately, sometimes the trope involves endless pining and refusal to communicate for approximately 90% of the book (which I do get but let's get more creative). And this book DID IT FOR ME! Kasey has done it again, just proving my assertion that she is one of the best authors around.

I loved how close Max and Rachael were, while still living their separate lives. I loved that Rachael had a legitimate reason for holding back and not talking about her feelings. And I LOVED that Max had no reservations once he started figuring himself out. Way to go, Max!
The traditions between the two families in this one were so cute, and I just loved them. The Grinch theme throughout is kind of my favorite and now I want to decorate with Grinch decor. Would it be ridiculous to make January Grinch month? Because January needs something anyway. Maybe that will do.

I loved how Kasey brought in the little traditions, the family backstories, the feelings and dynamics so succinctly. She did a great job of making sure you knew everything you needed, while still keeping the book a little more on the short side, which is perfect for this time of year.
Being confidantes for one another is something I loved about the relationship dynamic for Max and Rachael. And the way that they each started figuring out how to help one another, pushing each other to do the hard things, and grow in the process, is another check for depth to their relationship that makes friends the best kind of lovers. Rachael pushing Max to have the hard conversations he'd been avoiding for so long was fantastic. But I especially loved how Max was determined to help Rachael see all the good things about herself, and help her solve her struggles. But he wasn't pushy, just supportive. Very well done.

What else did I love?
- Peppermint (or Pepper...cutest name ever)
- Grinch kiss (IYKYK)
- Grinch cookies
- Bets and wagers with each other
- Broken collar bones (rude I know, but it was kind of funny)
- Brother's girlfriend keeping brother in line
- Hot dog fire
- Forced proximity
- Both sets of parents
- Passion for acting
It's just so good! I loved the quick jolt of Christmas cheese in book form, and would absolutely read again. Another winner from Kasey!

Audiobook review: Narrated by Rylee Kuberra and John Rogers -- This narration is done so well! It's a duet narration, meaning when the chapter is from the female point of view, the male narrator still reads all the male voiced lines (and vice versa during the MMC POV chapters). I loved their inflections and emotion, their voices, and the overall way they read. I would absolutely read another book narrated by this duo.
