Freya receives a strange text she believes has been sent to the wrong person. But she finds a body on the beach, having died the same way her daughter, Katherine (Kate), did, the texts become more sinister. This psychological horror story switches between Freya's first-person perspective and Edward's third-person point of view, delving into their characters in different ways as a cat and mouse game ensues. The book is written in the present tense, so readers read the narrative in real-time. A personal pleasant way to read since nothing in the future can be foreseen and readers learn what happens at the same time as the characters.

The Prologue, I love Prologues, for Into The Silent Sea by Claire Stibbe, got my attention and my curiosity humming. That’s a great start for what I think is going to be a great story.

What do you think about when your significant other is very late getting home, or doesn’t come home at all? Do you imagine them lying in a ditch on the side of the road? When I read it in the book, I couldn’t help but smile, because I have had that thought.

Part of the deal with Clodagh Shepherd’s marriage to Ryan, was a prenup saying she would turn a blind eye to his affairs. WTH! Why would she even marry him? Then, is he gaslighting her, making her think that she is crazy? Or is she crazy?

A book like Into The Silent Sea can be a wake up call for those in a troubled marriage. Keep on eye on your finances, or you may be left broke and homeless while he/she is living the good life.

At times I almost cried out loud, “Don’t drink the coffee.”

My head was spinning from all the psychological craziness going on in her head…and the craziness she has set in motion…and the craziness all around her..and the craziness that found its way into my head. Things are not as they appear to be and the more I read, the further down the rabbit hole I go. There is no way I was every going to figure this one out…and I was happy with the ending. She does prove the adage, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

I will warn you to take a deep breath before you dive Into The Silent Sea by Claire Stibbe.

This is most certainly a case of a woman scorned to put it mildly!

But it's not just a story of a vengeful wife hell-bent on taking down the other woman in her husband's life, this is a multi level plot that throws up some pretty decent curve balls along the way.

From the very first page it is a full throttle, fast paced addictive read with some wonderfully dislikable characters as well as one or two that you can't help but champion along their way!

If you like clear-cut endings then prepare to have your mind melted as this ending is left very much so up to our individual imaginations, and let me tell you, mine went a little crazy!

I reckon there is a part of Clo in every woman but most of us either don't follow through with our revengeful plans or we just don't get caught

If you are a fan of psychological thrillers then you won't want to miss this one, blisteringly fast and utterly compulsive from the very first page.

A big thank you to the author Claire Stibbe, her publishers Bookpreneur and Random Things Tours for my copy of this book and inclusion on the blog tour in exchange for an honest and independent review.

Worth a one time read..................

No Good Lie by Claire Stibbe is a psychological thriller which gives you a taste of extra marital affair, stalking and deception. You are going to jump into tension and secrets right from the start. The plot does not reveals any secret until you are halfway through the book. As a reader, you can expect a thrilling ride with limited characters and full of drama. The climax was interesting, although. If you are a beginner to psychological thrillers, then the book will definitely entertain you.

Definitely, 4 stars for the book. Thanks to Love Books Tours for providing me with an opportunity to be a part of the blog tour.
