This simple Aesop tale that has been re-told sends a very powerful message and a lesson to be learned about family, or working together in general. The story tells about a farmer who's sons are always bickering and arguing with each other and not being able to get any work done. So the father teaches them a lesson on working together in harmony by taking a stick and breaking it into smaller pieces. He tells them that it's easy to break one, two, or even three sticks, but the more sticks there are, and the more of bundle, the harder it is to break. The sons understood and became like the bundle of sticks, acting together in harmony. This would be a great book to present in the classroom to again, teach kids about cooperating and working together, and how crucial it is in life. It's a simple tale with a simple message, which sometimes is all people need to hear.… (altro)

Summary- Humpty Dumpty is a very popular child's' Nursery Rhyme. The rhyme is about an egg that sat on a wall and fell off and broke into many pieces. The kings-men could not put him together again.

Personal Reaction: i enjoyed reading this book to the children because it reminded me of my childhood. My grandmother use to read Humpty Dumpty to me as a child. She really brought the story to life with her facial expressions and her many different voices.

Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. I would read the book to the children and then we would discuss what happened in the story and I would let the children explain what they saw in the story.
2. I would have a science experiment with eggs. I would have two different eggs, first one would be boiled and the second would be raw. I would explain to the children why one cracked and one didn't. Then we would have a class discussion on why and how.… (altro)
