When I decided to adopt a dog, I heard terrible stories of people bringing home aggressive, abused dogs. I almost decided against adoption until I found this book. Ms. Sternberg reviews all the information & tools needed to find a sweet, loving dog. The book explains how to ask the right questions, decipher online descriptions, and how to start things off the right way from day 1. I would recommend this book to anyone who is considering adopting from a shelter or rescue for the first time.
