Good bio of an interesting man. If this period of time is of any interest to you, this is worthwhile reading. Presents some good insight into the good and bad of Albert Edward. On balance, I think he was a good king who generally improved his nation and moved it forward in a positive way. This is particularly evident when he is compared to his peers in the monarch club of the time.

This book was quite enjoyable. From his early difficulties in the schoolroom to his masterful understanding of world politics at the end of his life, the book brings Edward's life full circle in a balanced, easy to read manner. The political sections of the book can drag on a bit, but they in no way detract from this excellent book.… (altro)
