What an amazing book! I love this entire concept so much. I tried not to read it too fast because I didn’t want it to end. Some stories were funny, some were so heartbreaking, some were heartwarming...so many different stories from so many different walks of life. It really puts things into perspective. Definitely a book I will read more than once.

Heart warming.

I enjoyed this fun memoir and am in awe of Tanqueray. Stephanie has so many short stories about her life being the first black girl to be a burlesque dancer and more.
She tells the stories like one would tell a friend.

The honesty is real and it’s appreciated that this book was written to help cover medical expenses for Stephanie.

I just stumbled across this in the picture books section at work, and I loved the Humans of New York book, so naturally, I had to pick this up! It was very cute -- the narration is pretty basic (in fact, I don't even fully remember what it said aside from basic positive messages for kids), but I loved looking at the pictures of all the kids and their different clothing styles and environments, and I'm sure kids that age will be fascinated at getting a glimpse into the lives of other kids.
