This book is lame. I bought it and started reading it thinking it was going to challenge rape-related hyperboles and scare tactics feminists love to use and I was hoping that it would address issues about sexual harassment, rape and that stuff that not only women face, but men too; sexual harassment, rape, sexism, and domestic abuse aren't issues exclusive to the female gender-in fact, studies have shown men are at a higher risk for violence*. But no, in this book, the author(s?) talks about how rape is when a man forces himself on a woman. It rubbed me the wrong way, I guess. And it's a bit dated, so obviously published in the mid-nineties. I've moved on to Betty Friedan's The Feminine Mystique, which I hope will be somewhat better, at least for a book published initially in 1963.
