Fantastic embroidery patterns.
A beautifully presented book with hundreds of embroidery patterns graphed from medieval sources. Nancy Spies adds another wonderful book to the Arelate Studio collection. These patterns suggest no specific embroidery stitch, but are presented in such a way that the figures will be in proportion whether you use cross stitch or another method. They can be easily transferred to a medium such as leather or paper/vellum and painted rather than stitched.
