1280. Alexander the Great, by John W. Snyder (read 13 Aug 1974) This is a concise biography. I thought it well done. Alexander was born in 356 B.C. and died June 13, 323 B. C. He was never defeated: the reward for dying young. He became king upon Philip's assassination in July, 336. I don't believe Alexander was in Greece after 334.
