Loanne Snavely

Loanne Snavely, MLn, MST, is head of Library Learning Services at Penn State University Libraries. Previously she was head of the Arts Architecture Libraries at Penn State, and a reference and instruction librarian at Bucknell University and Bloomsburg University. She holds a master of mostra altro librarianship degree from Emory University, a master of science in teaching degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a bachelor of science degree from Juniata College. Snavely coedited Designs for Active Learning and has published articles on information literacy, visual images and information literacy, and other aspects of teaching and learning in libraries in the Journal of Academic Librarianship, RUSQ, portal, and other journal as well as chapters in books. Snavely has been chair of the ACRL Instruction Section and of the Executive Committee of the Institute for information Literacy.
