I like that this book because the pictures look very life like. They give good kid friendly descriptions with facts and is very engaging. This again is a great book as a starting point for lessons about the different animals that live in the ocean. This book could also be a great book for research for younger kids. It talks about different kinds of animals with the descriptions giving a good baseline if they were doing a small research paper at a young age. I think this would also be a good book to expand students knowledge and to make an anchor chart with them.… (altro)

I like this book for any age group of students, an individual reading book for a fourth grade class or a read a loud for first or second. This is a good book for a first or second grade class to hear as a read a loud once and go over the different animals in it and then allow the students to explore it on their own. This book presents good information about ocean life in a simple, chronological order with very engaging pictures for the students to follow along. This could also be available for a fourth or fifth grade class in a classroom library. It provides good information for a science project on marine life. It also provides good examples of text features like table of contents, headings, subtitles, charts, glossary and an index.… (altro)
