I purchased a new cookbook last night which I have not done in quite awhile - the collection having gotten out of hand a bit. Being a visual person I am a sucker for succulent food photos in cookbooks and Beautiful Breads is just such a one. The book begins with breads, moves on to sandwiches and sides and ends with dessert. The recipes sound so good they make my teeth hurt. Here are just a few: Peanut Butter-Chocolate Fudge Bread, Maple Merlot Bread, Avocado and Melted Swiss on Salsa Bread, Beef Tenderloin with Coffee Liqueur Mushroom Sauce on French Bread, Red Deviled Egg Salad Sandwich on Spicy White Pepper-Jack Bread, Honey Carrot Soup (this one I have got to try immediately), Butterscotch Meringue Pie (ditto this one), Two-Ton Bittersweet Chocolate Fudge Cake. Any dessert with two ton in the name has to be good. Well you can see why I just had to have this book. Bon Appetit a nous.… (altro)
