Success Through Stillness: Meditation Made Simple di Russell Simmons
Very good, but definitely a primer to convince people to begin meditating.
Need to get back to meditating, i did notice a difference in my life and my well being when I was meditating
A nice little introductory book on meditation. This hip hop mogul related the many benefits that meditation has brought to his life. I have never gotten into it but may take a shot at it as I can see how it could have positive benefits. The discipline it takes to commit to the sessions is another matter. Russell spends the bulk of the book talking about benefits and related stories. He spend a few scant pages at the very end on the actual practice procedure.
By going through his exciting and rewarding life as a pioneer in the hip hop industry and now a big name in charity, he helps us redefine the word rich. Being "Super Rich" means being happy and having it all in life - not just the money or the toys.
Its a very spiritual book but not in a religious way. Its inspiring and makes you want to be a better person.
He talks about giving without wanting, how hard work pays off, how to succeed by living in the now without always chasing the next big thing, and how you by being conscious and compassionate, can be super rich.
Absolutly worth the read even if its only for the motivation and inspiration.… (altro)
