I read this shared reading book in my music education class and I enjoyed it very much. This book allowed the teacher to read, while students could make noises of whatever tool Old MacDonald was using. An example could be "Old MacDonald had a shop, e-i-e-i-o. And in her woodshop she had a saw, e-i-e-i-o. With a zztt here and a zztt there, here a zztt, there a zztt, everywhere a zztt. Old MacDonald had a shop, e-i-e-i-o." The noises produced from this book gives children the opportunity to take or make an instrument and play along with the book while the teacher is reading it. This allows for maximum involvement and total physical response during a shared reading book, which is why I like it so much.… (altro)
