Helvetica is the typeface used today in most of the signs in the New York subway system. Unimark International was hired to make the underground signing consistent. Helvetica is clear bold-looking sans-serif typeface used throughout the world. This book pays homage to its use in New York City. Their are great pictures of New York suways throughout the book as well as many looks at station, subway cars, maps, and other informational ephemera.
