100 Animals on Parade! di Masayuki Sebe
100 Animals on Parade! follows a marching parade of bears, pigs, beetles, rabbits and birds. It is up to the reader to spot the next group of 100 animals. My students would love the challenge of counting to 100 and noticing the funny costumes on the animals. Masayuki Sebe is the author and illustrator. The pages were filled with humorous, brightly colored illustrations. I almost did not know where to look at on the page. At the end of the book there is a page that says, "There's a snail, a ladybug, and an ant in every scene. Find them all!" I enjoyed this added game and think this is a fun follow up activity that students would want to play.… (altro)
In this book the author emphasizes the milestone number 100 and uses fun and appealing characters throughout the book to help children count such as bears, pigs, beetles, rabbits and birds. The book also allows children to search throughout the pictures in the book by asking a question, for example "Can you find the pig that loves carrots?" I really think this is a great book to have on the shelves for students in the classroom.
This book was about counting in multiples to 100 with different animals. Although the illustrations were cute and fun, the book was a little unorganized

This was a fun and busy book. I think students would enjoy finding the specific animals the book asks for. I believe this a great book for counting to 100, but also starting in between and knowing which way to count. It was definitely a wondering book with lots to look at and see, think about and dream if that really happened. Something students would love to read about since it is a fantasy type book. I would keep this inside my classroom library for my students to read and enjoy.
